  Bartoli Salvatella launched the sprint in Beauvais - Amiens, though he wasn't able to follow up when Wubbe Bouma and Heribert Parrera rushed by. The victory ended safely in the hands of Wubbe Bouma who proudly lifted his arms high. About the length of a wheel behind him came Heribert Parrera claiming the second place. Bartoli Salvatella, who started the drama, ended up third on the stage.
